CarComplaints.com Notes: Engine cradle rot is a serious problem in the 2004-05 Chrysler Pacifica. Chrysler admits they didn't apply enough coating to the vehicle's sub-frame during assembly, but only offered to cover a very small portion of the vehicles they messed up.
So what happens when your engine cradle rots? Well, the engine could fall out for starters. It could also cause problems with the suspension and other components but did I mention THE ENGINE CAN FALL OUT? The worst part is you might not know because there's no way to see the problem without getting under the car.
If you have a 2004-05 Pacifica, make sure to have your mechanic inspect your sub-frame for rust and corrosion.

I am so distraught that Chrysler has not done anything about this issue yet! All of the lights on the dashboard turn off/on while driving. It all started with my headlights flickering. It got worse, the dome lights started flickering too. Next it was ABS brake lights and I thought Oh I need new tires, replaced them. Now all of the lights on the dashboard, ABS, engine, headlights and every freaking warning light known to man turns off and on when I am driving, parked, even thinking about it, they all flicker!
I thought it was a loose connection, nothing. DEALER thought it was the loose post connections on my battery and that my battery was old. I replaced them. Few weeks later again same issue! Then not trusting the DEALER, I went to an auto shop and they noticed that the Alternator was not keeping the same electrical current, so obviously we replaced the alternator... NOTHING!!
The same problem still yet again!! Nothing is fixing this issue. When fan turns on/off, when AC turns on/off, when I am driving and when parked, they all flicker and now the radio is turning off and on to the point it feels the car is stalling and will turn off any time soon while driving.
This is VERY SCARY!! Chrysler needs to do a recall ASAP before we all get into an serious CAR ACCIDENT! I am going to try to contact them directly about this issue.
