Driving around 40 the vehicle started to shake. I thought maybe a wheel bearing or tie rod was the issue. Upon taking it to the shop to get checked I was told that the engine cradle was rusted to the point of almost failing. I am currently having the cradle replaced. Had that occurred at a higher speed I hat to think what may have happened. I called Chrysler and was told there is a replacement program for vehicles built between Feb 23rd and mar31st 2004. Because my vehicle was built January 23rd 2004 it was not covered and I received no letter. Despite the fact I was driving a vehicle with the same problem in a very dangerous state. There should be a nationwide safety recall.

When I accelerate from a stop (at a red light to green) and "go" before I reach 10mph.. the car suddenly pauses and shakes (as though it's shifting in gear and gets stuck in a low gear) and is not smooth but shakes the whole car. Also, on the highway....the car would suddenly go into low gear...and (again, I don't have stick shift) I press the accelerator and I can hear the engine burning.... cause I can't go over 25 mph. So I have to pull over and turn the engine off and turn it back on. Another issue is the front bumper has a silver plate at the corners of the front car. I have replaced it 3 times cause it falls off....so annoying!!!!!!!! worse than a wheel rim plate falling off.

Vehicle was took off of the driveway and few seconds later oil from engine came to be spilled off from bottom of engine, vehicle was took to mechanic and it was revised, problem looks to be that oil was coming off the motor from oil filter gasket; though something was wrong with filter gasket, oil filter was replaced with new one and new oil was placed at engine, when motor was started up it was noticed that oil pressure was contained into the oil filter and it causes the new filter to blew out; mechanic was confused at the moment; need to mention that I have took the vehicle to this specialized mechanic shop since 2 years ago and we have never noticed something similar. After spending few hours reviewing the vehicle motor it was noticed that the spring that goes into the oil pressure relief valve was broke. Not really know how this spring crack, all oil services have been made to the motor every 3000 miles and vehicle had all services per the maintenance manual. This defective spring causes that vehicle drains all engine oil from filter, luckily it happened close home and to mechanic shop and not at highway, other way I could be ended with a total wreck engine. No warning light when on, it came on until all oil was totally drained from engine. Hope this can be addressed to Chrysler, I do not want it happen to another person and it causes a major damage to engine.

The failure of the engine and transmission mounts can cause additional failures that also put the public at risk...this includes: --ground wire fatigue and failure causing a multitude of unexpected electrical problems and vehicle shut down --damage to vehicle wiring harness to the powertrain control module, again causing a myriad of unexpected electrical problems and vehicle shut down --cooling system failure...engine movement causes upper radiator hose to disconnect compromising the cooling system and contributing to environmental contamination when the engine coolant is released. I know that this has been reported previously and it is appalling to realize that no action has been effected by this oversight arm. Chrysler needs to be held accountable for their poor design and quality standards and find an effective solution to this issue that has affected every Pacifica manufactured. I have almost wrecked my car. At higher speeds my car jerks and stutters and will randomly shut off too. I see there is a recall on some Chrysler Pacifica's for this exact problem, but for some reason it is not on mine and it is a major issue!!!
