The contact owns a 2007 Chrysler PT CRUISER. The contact stated that the electric driver seat moves forward, while in and outside the vehicle. The failure has occurred approximately 200 times. Currently, the seat moves every time the contact enters the vehicle. The vehicle has been to a dealer approximately six times, but they were unable to duplicate the failure. The current mileage was 6,211 and failure mileage was 10. Updated 09/15/08 the dealer corrected the problem by installing an override toggle switch on the seat to cut off electricity to the seat when adjustment is not needed. Updated 09/17/08.
