The contact owns a 2006 Chrysler PT CRUISER. The contact stated that windshield wipers did not work properly. The vehicle was taken to the dealer who installed a switch and new motor but the remedy failed to fix the problem. The dealer stated that the totally integrated body module needed to be replaced. The manufacturer was contacted and they stated that they can not provide a date when the parts would be available. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure and current mileages were 49,054. While driving in heavy rain, my windshield wipers stopped working in the middle of a wipe cycle. I could not see because ofthe heavy downpour and had to slow down to a crawl and try to get on the side of the road. After pulling over, the wipers started working again. Once back on the road, they stopped again. This happened a total of 3 times until I could get to an exit.
The contact owns a 2006 Chrysler PT CRUISER. The windshield wiper and turn signals do not work. The dealer replaced the wiper sensor switch, the clock spring in the steering wheel, and the instrument cluster, but the failures remain. The manufacturer took a complaint against the dealer and advised the contact to take the vehicle back to the dealer. The current mileage was 27,080 and failure mileage was 24,150. Updated 4/16/08 the multi-function switch was replaced. Updated
