CarComplaints.com Notes: The 2006 is the worst year for PT Cruiser engine complaints. Having an engine light on is annoying, but it's the complaints about the engine shutting-off while driving that really have us concerned.

This is really not right. If I get pulled over, I will be forced to either replace the TIPM or get rid of the car OVER A HEADLIGHT. It is not right to make a car that needs a computer replacement when a headlight goes out. I've replaced the bulb, and, to my surprise, the new bulb didn't work either. I checked the connector and it is getting no power. I am now being told the problem is in the TIPM! This is a $1000 repair for a HEADLIGHT!
