2005 PT Cruiser convertible. Bought this car used 4 months ago. First time I washed it the driver side front window leaked a trickle of water inside the car, also notice a squeak when putting the window up. The dealership told me they would take care of it and after trying to charge me for the repair (said it was out of warrenty) they "fixed it" at no charge. Since the "repair" the window has leaked on one other occasion and the last time I washed the car, the passenger side window showed a leak.
With the convertible, when you open the door, the window goes down a bit then goes back up when you shut the door. I'm wondering if there is a problem with the window returning to the full up position. Of course, the car is considered out of warranty so any investigation/repair is completely my responsibility.
I suggest strongly if you are considering purchasing a used PT Cruiser convertible, take a supersoaker with you, open/close the doors many many times and spray that puppy down with water EVERY TIME! Sad commentary on the integrity of our car manufacturers and dealerships!
I truly love my car, but will be trading it in as soon as possible and going back to buying imports. I will never own anything Chrysler again!
