The contact owns a 2005 Chrysler PT CRUISER. The contact stated that while driving approximately 30 mph, the rear passenger side quarter glass became separated from the vehicle. The vehicle was not diagnosed. The manufacturer was notified of the defect and the contact was informed that the vehicle was not included in recall NHTSA campaign number 07V149000 (visibility).the VIN was not available. The failure mileage was 80,000.
I was driving North on I95 Sunday and all of a sudden the rear drivers side quarter window just flew off without any warning no breakage nothing hit it just blew off. Unfortunately it broke up when it hit the pavement. Is there still a recall #07V149000 that can still take care of this problem?
Rear quarter window flew off of car. Passenger quarter window did the same thing in may08. Chrysler is saying there is no recall for the month my car was made.
2005 PT CRUISER rear quarter glass flew out of car and across 2 lanes of traffic. No one was hurt. I called Chrysler to check recall and they said my VIN was not covered however other 2005's are recall 07V149000.

Consumer states that in may she ordered the parts to get the recall repair and she called to see if they were in and was told they would contact her. She has yet to be contacted. The consumer was told the parts were on back order. (recall# 07V149000)

She has not scheduled an appointment for the recall repair because the dealer stated that the parts are on back order. The current mileage is 36,000 and the failure mileage was inapplicable.
: the contact stated while driving 45 mph on normal road conditions, the driver side back triangle window blew out including the frame. The vehicle driving behind maneuvered to avoid being hit by the flying window. The vehicle was taken to the dealership who replaced the missing window.
