I bought the car used in Sept. 2008. I absolutely love the car. The tires started losing pressure almost immediately. The dealer had the wheels ground and for a little while it seemed okay. Again tho it started all over again. I have spent the past nearly 3 years dealing with it. I purchased new tires hoping that would help and again right away the tire pressure went down. That dealer took it back, resealed all of the tires and I was told the problem was the chrome over aluminum wheels were the problem and that the wheels had to be ground and cleaned. I have had that done at least 5 times. What a pain!!! I am still making trips to put air in all of my tires every few days and every time I do I have the most negative thoughts about Chrysler. I tried and tired to contact them because one of the dealers had told me that they had a bulletin out and were sending people replacement wheels because of the safety issue. Well, the only way they ever did answer me was when I sent them an email requesting their guidelines for a handicap vehicle for my husband. They couldn't wait to answer me then!! So in responding to that email from them I also told them of my problem with the wheels on my PT Cruiser. They didn't want to know anything!! Offered to send me a lube, oil and filter certificate!!! Are you kidding??Are you nuts??
I am so sick and tired of dealing with this issue and the fact that they won't step in to do the right thing!! I told them not to hold their hand anywhere personal waiting for us to purchase another Chrysler product and that we would get the Honda for my husband. The Town and Country that we own is and will be the LAST Chrysler product we will ever own!! I am now searching for replacement wheels which are next to impossible to find...NOT a happy camper by any means and I don't want to hear about Chrysler and their big profits that they are raking in while a bunch of us are trying to keep damn air pressure in our tires!!!
