This data is from the NHTSA — the US gov't agency tasked with vehicle safety. Complaints are spread across multiple & redundant categories, & are not organized by problem.
So how do you find out what problems are occurring? For this NHTSA complaint data, the only way is to read through the comments below. Any duplicates or errors? It's not us.
I was driving a rental car in austin, Texas. It was a 2004 Chrysler PT CRUISER. I was able to push down with my right elbow and unbuckle the 3-point seatbelt simply by pushing down with the point of my elbow, the button was depressed and the tongue latch popped out. This means that when jostling around in a rollover, this seat belt can unlatch and is therefore defective. I was not hurt in this.
