the pt cruiser is a 2003 and ive been reading where the 2004 is having the same problems. im not sure if anyone has found a solution but if you have it would be greatly appreciated if you shared.
the car is dying and stalling out at stops and red lights. we have taken it to have the diagnostic run 4 times now and each time it wont show a code. the check engine light is not on and by the time we get to the shop the car has been running for a while and wont lock up for them so they aren't sure of the problem either. the inside of the car looks like a disco because the interior and exterior lights pulse and seize up. the engine makes a horrible noise when the car first starts and there are times when it wont even crank. other times it runs fine (this normally happens when we are at the shop so people think we are crazy and are imagining this issue) the car radio will cut in and out and stop working when the lights pulse and in the middle of driving the car will die.
pt cruisers are run by computer so im thinking there may be a wiring malfunction but how do you fix it?!?!?
knowing all of this..does anyone have a solution? it would be greatly appreciated! :)
