CarComplaints.com Notes: Chrysler has taken the boring small car frame of the Neon, grafted a 1930s-era roadster body on top and named it the PT Cruiser. While the new look may appeal to some, the vehicle has unfortunately also inherited many of the same problems as the Neon.

At this point, this car is such a piece of garbage that I didn't even want to trade it in at first. I literally woke up to go to work, and my transmission completely went out. There were no signals to transmission problems before hand, it just died. for the love of god DO NOT BUY THIS CAR
I waited after ordering for six months with excitement to be the first in our area to get one of the newest PT Cruisers. The first sigh of a problem was when the steering wheel vibrated....one thing after another......and I learned to live with the vibrating steering. This car was treated with TLC.......and I'll just go to the end of the story......after new wheels and tires.....after a failed power steering pump.......I sold my "baby" yesterday for $500. Yes, that is right $500 for PT Cruiser .......without a transmission.
