While driving the vehicle I had hit some water after some extreme downpour, about 300m further on the engine in the vehicle blew. A new engine was put in, plus clutch; alternator; sump etc, costing me R50,000 (ZAR South Africa) Now my 2.0 chews petrol @ 330km's to a 50L tank, whereas before I was doing 550 to 700 km's to the tank. Now all of a sudden the gear box is giving problems as well, another R15,000 to repair. Was wondering if all these damages could relate to the initial water damage that entered via the air vent straight into the engine. This vehicle is costing me more to maintain than what I originally purchased it for.
