The contact owns a 1995 Chrysler Lebaron convertible. While the contact was driving approximately 40 mph the front driver and passenger side air bags involuntarily deployed. There were minor injuries. The vehicle was able to continue operation with caution. The dealer was notified which there was no resolution. The VIN was not available. The failure and current mileages were 75,000.
Consumer was in an accident and air bags deployed. Consumer stated that insurance company and dealership did not think that airbags should have deployed. License plate was bent.
Violent deployment of driver's/passenger's air bags during rear end collision T 5 mph, resulted in tearing off passenger's thumb and severe hand damage.
