The contact owns a 1999 Chrysler Lhs. The contact stated that while trying to open the front passenger and driver side windows, the windows became disengaged from the track. The vehicle was not taken to a mechanic. The manufacturer was not contacted. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 157,000 and the current mileage was 159,000. Two front power windows are stuck in the up position and will not roll down. The dealer was contacted but could not find the cause of the problem, the vehicle was re-examined and repaired.
While driving vehicle filled up with smoke from the dash area. All electrical components shut down. Vehcle was towed to the dealership. Owner was told that radio shorted out, and shut down entire electrical system. Radio/both wndows motors, and fuses were replaced. On March 13, 2000 the driver's side window failed to open, and vehicle smelled electrically hot.
