: the contact stated the driver's side lower control arm fractured while driving 15 mph causing the half axle to pull out of the transaxle. There is an NHTSA recall, # 99V215000, regarding the suspension:front:control arm:lower arm. The VIN was not included in the recall.
Took car to sparks Chrysler/Plymouth in concord, nc to have recall 99V215000 performed on 7/7/2000. Car has not handeld well since. Today, 2/24/2001, took car to sears to have struts, alignment and wheels rotated and balanced. Sears technician discovered that the bolt securing the lower control arm had not been replaced when the service was done.this could have had catastrophic consequences had something separated while the car was at speed.
