I have a 2004 Chrysler Intrepid, I bought it with low mileage at 68000km. Within the 8 years I've had it and 245000km later I have had quite the amount of problems with it.
For the past 8 years, my engine light has always been on, it refuses to go away even after "fixing" any issue it had.
For the past 1-2 years, the engine will misfire once slowing down from high speeds, it simply will not change gear for me, I have to turn the car off and on again for it to reset, otherwise you'll be doing 6000rpm while going only 80km/h.
We were told it could be the solenoid, then a sensor, etc. We fixed it ALL, nearly thousands of dollars later, and it still misfires, if you shift from neutral to drive or reverse the entire car's transmission shakes, you can feel it below you, the entire damn thing.
It is incredibly frustrating to own this car, I thought old cars would be better on maintenance, I am looking to have this car for a few more years, I must say it did serve me well, I have used it all throughout school :)
