Shorts & electrical fires in Chrysler Imperial. Need to replace all switches & relays. Check the obvious & see if a short exists. Have to replace most all the parts from alternator & battery. To PCM for engine & transmission & other relays & modules. Easy way to find what is bad, disconnect negative battery cable. Leave positive on battery. Take a piece of wire to hook a 12 volt bulb to good ground & negative post. Light will come on if a short is any were in car. Start disconnecting everything. Take not if light goes out. That means you found the offending part. Takes time but my Chrysler had multiple shorts. Vanity mirrors, rear window defogger, heated mirrors, headlight switch & dimmer switch. Takes time but it is cheaper than a dealers price for trouble shooting.
