Since buying the vehicle new in 2008 I have had to replace 5 sensor tire valves. The first 2 were within the 3 year warranty period and were replaced free of charge. The third was outside the warranty and cost me £135.56. I have had the 4th and 5th replaced with ordinary valves but now the dashboard display shows me running on only two wheels and none of the other indicators (such as compass etc) can be displayed because of it.
I now have to go to my local tire station to have my tires checked. I dare not do it at a normal service station. On the last occasion, I had a warning of low pressure on a country road at nearly midnight in the pouring rain. I pulled into the only services station that was open and when I tried to inflate the tire the valve broke off and the tire deflated. I had to call out a roadside assistance service to get me mobile again. I have written to the dealer from which I bought the car and have not had the courtesy of an acknowledgement or reply.
