This car is babied and a kept car (mostly in a air cond. garage) with the low mileage (30,000 Mi.) I thought it would last for years then this, (back glass falling out!) With Mercedes behind it when it was built, and Chrysler selling it, nobody seems to care about the car like it was a BIG MISTAKE on their part. Along with all the people who bought it and had this problem, which was a lot from what I researched and found out on the internet. I was going to look into a Benz Conv. but have lost my interest in it.
Years ago I owned a Sebring Conv. and it also had issues with the top but it was the hydraulic system which even after the warranty ran out Chrysler helped in the cost of repairs. Now no one wants to take care of a poorly designed "RAG TOP". I think about the quality of how customer service treatment of these cars when shopping for my next car.
I haven't bought or even looked at a Cadillac car since the problems weren't resolved by GM Cadillac Div. back in 2001. Maybe caring about customer service and quality car care is dead in this industry now! Better off buying used and looking for the problems the people have had or having with these cars, then looking for another unit...SHOULD HAVE BEEN A RE-CALLON THE 2006 CROSSFIRE cars!!!
