CarComplaints.com Notes: The Chrysler Crossfire has a nasty habit of having the back window fall out. While there are reports of this happening to every model year (2004-08), the 2005 has it worst. Naturally this problem tends to happen beyond the standard 3 year / 36,000 mile warranty leaving owners to pick up the tab along with the shattered pieces of glass.

I will show my ignorance of mechanics now. There is a pulley which has been hitting the main belt and causing a noise which I've been told that if it continues will cause the belt to brake and the engine to stop. Yes, this is significant, and added to the ignition switch problem that I've already complained about, is really putting a cramp in my style, as my mother used to say.
We have looked up the part online, and apparently, only the very best Mercedes parts will do for us Crossfire owners, so the part is astronomically expensive. Add to that the cost of installation/labor, and it will be prohibitive.
I'm kind of stuck because I gave my previous/paid for car to my son and so had no trade in when I got the car and since I've only had it a year, it will be like throwing good money after bad in one way because I owe a lot on it, but I will never be able to sell it unless I do fix it. And it would be unethical to not disclose this to anyone when trading it in, though obviously nobody cared that much about ethics when I got the car.
