Car developed thumping and clunking sounds from the front end when driving on rough roads and streets. On smooth streets it sounds OK. Repair shop replaced shocks and bushings and related parts. Noise still seems about the same. Went back to the repair shop and they checked the car and insisted it is ok. Before I return or go to another repair shop I would like some ideas of what else could be causing the unusual sounds and how safe it is to drive the car on the highway in the meantime. So far I only drive in the city.
