Since 2010, the car has had many electrical issues that have resulted in over 5,000 dollars in repairs and the problems continue to persist. In 2010, the car began having intermittent lighting issues and failure of the trunk latch opening mechanism. In Aug 2010, the BCM was fixed/replaced. Since then, the A/C has become the problem that has led to thousand of dollars of repairs. The problem is that intermittently the A/C will not respond to changes in the temperature controls and only 180 degree air comes out. The dealer has replaced almost all mechanical parts of the A/C and the electrical controls with the exception of the BCM. The problem continues and now the so call new BCM is no longer under warranty.

The BCM on the car has been shorting out. The lights turn off the dash lights turn off the fuel gauge drops out the heat and A/C won't work all at once. The dealership replaced the BCM once. The problem came back less than a year. Now the dealer said the BCM has shorted out the junction box or the junction box shorted out the BCM.

Since I purchased a 1999 Chrysler Concorde new, I have had the car in the dealer over 20 times. I have numerous electrical issues, I have been stranded numerous times and I have incurred costs over the last 4 years that not only forced me to rent a car over and over, but the time lost from work is inexcusable. I have had brake failure almost resulting in a car crash. Now, my car is in the dealership due to smoke smell burning wires and a computer and electrical issue. Chrysler states they don't know if they willl pay for this problem. This has been happening since day one and it's dangerous. I am in fear for the safety of my family riding in this car. It is a death trap. This car should have been deemed recalled under the lemon law. I know various people who have the same car and they have had the same problems that Chrysler ignores and fails to deal with it.

Problems with vehicle's heater, engine making knocking noises and slow acceleration. The heater stopped working intermittently which lead to a build up of heat in the engine cabin, which in turn lead to a build up of sludge. During acceleration, the vehicle rattled and vibrated and it did not accelerate smoothly. The consumer was informed that the entire engine block needed to be replaced, which was the cause of the problems. Also the front window and power mirror were inoperative, the dealer found a bad window motor.

On 6/12/03 I filled out a vehicle owners questionnaire on a 1999 Chrysler Concorde, VIN [xxx]. on 8/02/02 I purchased this Chrysler Concorde with 48,580 miles.on 8/15/02, I took the car back to [xxx] because of electrical problems, car leaking oil, brakes sticking, and air, heater, defrost, ventilation problems.upon arrival to [xxx] on 8/15/02 to drop the car off to be serviced there were 48,620 miles on the odometer. After receiving a phone call from [xxx] dealership stating "that the car was ready." "and had been serviced." After arriving and getting in the car, I noticed that the odometer had been changed, because it was now reading 48,883 miles. I then questioned [xxx] about the additional miles and was told "been everything had fixed." On 4/15/03, I was back at [xxx] having electrical problems in the dashboard. And the air conditioner was blowing out hot air. In the month of May 2003, I received a recall notice about the driver's seat bolt being defective, which may break causing the seat to suddenly recline. I took the car in on 5/27/03 to have the bolt replaced. After being at the dealership for about two minutes I was told that "the car was ready to go." I asked if the bolt had been replaced? I do not believe it had because it was not gone long enough. I also had to request a customer's copy of the invoice. When I received the invoice I notice that the invoice stated that the car was gray. The car is black. Please look into this matter. Thank you [xxx] information redacted pursuant to the Freedom Of Information Act (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6).
