Failure of wipers occurred during a heavy rainstorm on I-294 in the Chicago area. Was able to manuever the vehicle to the shoulder to avoid an accident.
Windshield was extended more forward with new design & longer slope, it catches more water in a rainstorm, yet wipers operate on same speed as before change.
