Transmission failure, I read that Chrysler had a recall on transmissions for the 95 Chrysler Concorde, due to shifting problems, my 95 Chrysler Concorde, drove fine and then suddenly stopped, if I shut off the engine, then restart it, it will drive, until it tries to shift to second then it will not drive anymore, at all, until I shut it off and then restart it, then it will immediately drive again. I was told by a mechanic that it is most likely a solenoid shift pack, which was recalled by Chrysler.
My vehicle does not change into second gear. I found out while I was in heavy traffic and became a hazard to other drivers. When in reverse, it has a "clunk" noise when the gas is applied. The problem came all of a sudden without warning. There are also computer and ignition problems with this vehicle. It sounds like there is crackling in the dashboard when the heater is on, the ignition switch cannot be turned all the way to the on position when the car is on or the ABS light will come on and prevents function of the heater.
Contact states the gear shift is hard to put into gear. There is a grinding noise coming from the motor. A mechanic said the gears broke and the transmission had to be rebuilt. Consumer did have the transmission rebuilt. The consumer did not have the purchase date or the dealer information available.

Car spins as a result of intermittant transmission downshifts when right turn signal is used causing the transmission to downshift violently. The transmission has been replaced twice. Two dealers unable to find any electrical problem. When traveling at 65 mph on wet pavement and the transmission downshifts the car wants to spin in a clockwise direction.
While having new tires installed on the car the mechanic found the left outer tie rod end worn out. Due to the milage on the car I feel this is premature. In checking your site I am finding stistemic problems with this car and like cars (ie Dodge intrepid) also for the model years of 1993,1994,1995. The three major areas I found are air conditioning, steering/ linkages, and transmission which I have the same type of problems with my car. I have reported the air conditioner and the transmission to you a couple of days ago.
