Car will cut off while car is either decelerating or stationary. Oil light will come on. Periodically the check engine light will appear too but mechanic checked diagnostic computer codes nothing is wrong. Very scary experiences while driving in rush hour traffic on highway and several city streets. No prewarning lights.
Ignition locks up, key will not come out of ignition, can't put car in park. Air bag light comes on, when air bag comes on the car wants to die out. Already replaced the ball joints, brake drums, brake lines, brake pads, calipers, rotors, and the oxygen sensors twice.
: the contact stated the vehicle caught fire while parked. The engine compartment was completely burned; and the accelerator pedal, brake pedal and dashboard melted. There was a NHTSA recall # 06V001000 pertaining to the power assist steering system. The contact received the recall letter the day after the fire occurred. The vehicle was inspected by the manufacturer, who determined that the fire was not due to the recall.
: the contact stated that while at a stop light, smoke began to eminate from under the hood. Once the vehicle was exited, flames were observed coming from the underside of the front end of the vehicle. The police and fire departments were called. A police report was filed, and the vehicle was determined to be a total loss.
The 2000 chrsler Cirrus, without any warning went up in flames while the car was not being operated. This happened no more that ten minutes after it was parked. No was was injured, nor any other property as the car was parked in my church parking lot. The fire department extinguished the fire.

Electrical system malfunctioned, causing the alarm/ speedometer, and transmission to malfunction. Had a 2000 concord, VIN # [xxx] which had the same problem, and the manufacturer traded the concorde with Cirrus, but it is having the same problem.
