Transmission can shift out of gear when consumer is driving or when at a complete stop. Contacted dealer, and the dealer was not willing to do anything.
Brakes-driving on several occasions brakes will make a grinding sound and go to the floor, and will finally stop. Had brakes replaced often, because they wear down often. Battery- had to replace battery several times, because something causes battery to go dead. Engine-driving at different speeds or sitting at stop signs and lights car will stall withot warning, took car to the shop, could not find problem, also called manufacture. Electrical system-gas gauge shows empty when car is full, check engine light comes on, radio in car would go off when you hit a bump, finally stop working, dash lights come on and off. Air conditioner-have had several problems with air conditioner, have had different parts replaced, when sitting with air on car tries to go died. Transmission- car leaks fluid, can't find spot, while driving up a hill transmission will slip is hard to pull, have had many problems out of car and sent to car repair shop many times.
Bought car used in July 2000. Transmission went out in May 2001. Had to have it replaced with a remanufactured transmission from the factory. Mechanic informed us the transmission we had to have put it was the third tranny this car has had. The second one was also a remanufactured tranny from the factory. Is now July 2001 and tranny (3rd one) has quit and is in shop. Won't come out of second gear.

While driving vehicle shut down. Managed to turn vehicle off. Vehicle was always being towed due to not being able to shift into gear to move it. At dealership was informed that front tie rods needed to be replaced due to coming loose. Also, transmission needed to be replaced/ distributor had failed to function properly.
Vehicle runs well at night. But, during daytime without prior warning it shuts off. Transmission gear runs roughly when shifting gears. First gear shift goes to second gear and third gear with a hard knock. Dealership is aware of problem.
While driving at approximately 60 mph automatic transmission jumps out of gear and into lowest gear. Dealership has examined vehicle, and replaced transmission. Consumer states that vehicle is experiencing this problem again. Please provide any additional information/attachments.
Transnmission fort end pump seal leaking. This problem my mechnic report to me when I have my engine oil change. He said front pump seal is leaking on transmisson. He said he see lotoff car has this failure and to me Chrysler has to do something about this. Fuel gauge needle problem is also a wellknown problem. I did not know about this web site untill my friend told me about, please help me on this problems. I will check other recall that this model has and make sure I have proper repair for this. I have about three recall notice from Chrysler for this car. I see more recall for this car than I recived from Chrysler. Please advise me for other recall that they have not done on my car. Do ihave to make a complian for that to them? or file a complian to your department. This is all new to me so please help me. Thanks.
While driving on highway heard a rubbing noise. Pulled over, and two rear tires were turned in. Contacted dealer, and was told that upper control arm broke because they were not properly lubricated. Was also told that this vehicle was not designed where consumer could reach to lubricate. In addition, vehicle was making noise when putting it in reverse, and was not able to steer car because power steering pump seal went out and fluid leaked onto the ground.
Vehicle keeps cutting off. Had crank sensor & H20 sensor replaced. Air conditioner fails to work. Took to dealer & was informed vehicle needed spark plugs & problem not with transmission.
Traveling 60mph, when vehicle would downshift on its own. Cannot accelerate after it downshifted. Took to dealer. Told console shorts out every now & then.
Chrysler wants us to be responsible for 50% of charges to repair only the transmission; which was already overhauled at 35,000 miles. We need help in getting Chrysler to take responsibility for a possible lemon. The power steering pump is going out and the dealer said it is premature; Chrysler will not even acknowledge. The ABS brake light comes on and stays on at different times, the front of the car "jumps" upon slowing to stop. The car has been nothing but trouble.
I have had numerous problems with this new vehicle. The most serious of which happened this week. I had problems with the ball joints. After several trips, I finally got the dealership to replace the right one. They said the left one was find, although that was where the noise was from. They told me it was my power steering rack. Five days after the right ball joint was replaced, the left ball joint broke as my 17 year old daughter was driving the car and the tire fell off. Luckily she had gotten off the 4-lane highway she had been traveling on that night.
Transmission problems, causing collision. Loss of control due to failure of unknown components in the connection of the transmission and master brake cylinder.
