Like other complaints I've read on this and other sites, this problem occurs after moderate to heavy rain storms, or even after a few days of light to moderate rain. This has occurred around 10 times now. We've had mechanics tell us the problems are: car batter, alternator, computer. Going back to the first time this occurred, we paid 500 for battery replacement and another part (i don't remember at this point). A few days later, the problem happened again. I opened the panel to the fuses that is on the drive side close to the driver's left leg to check maybe if some fuses burned out. To my surprise, I saw water all over those fuses. The mechanic wanted to another big repair when I scheduled the service and then I told them and showed them the water. The ended up cleaning the drain lines that take rain water out of the vehicle. (not sure where these are and where the water drains from). He says these lines are too thin and they will clog very often. Sure enough, he cleaned out plenty of dust. However, the problem is that this is occurring more and more often/frequently. This is clearly a design flaw that is impacting the electrical system. Over the last 3 years, this has cost me thousands of dollars because it's not just cleaning out the drainage tubes, but all the electrical damage and tuneups I need each time this happens. How could Chrysler just cut and run with all of these issues occurring. I can only imagine all the people constantly going for repairs and not knowing about the drain problem in this car. If you have this issue, please check that fuse panel that is near the driver's left leg especially after a rain storm. Get a bright flashlight and look to see if there is water on the fuses or below that area. If you are finding water on the floor or dripping from your dashboard, there may be other areas where water is overflowing from any poor drainage. Shame on you Chrysler for not addressing this.
