My family and I were driving down the street and the driveshaft disconnected from the rear axle and fell. We heard a loud crashing noise and it felt like we were running over something. We pulled to the side of the street and when I looked under the car, I saw that the driveshaft was hanging on the ground. To make matters worse, when I called Chrysler about it, they said that my lifetime warranty had been voided due to me not getting some type of five year check up, which they never warned me about.
I am the only owner of this car and they fixed something dealing with that in the past, however, they caught it before something like this had happened. When I look up recalls on Chrysler Aspens I noticed that the 2009 model had a recall for the same exact problem, however, they claim mine missed that recall even though it was manufactured with in the date range.
