The contact owns a 2000 Chrysler 300M. The contact stated that the vehicle would not shift into park. In order to park the vehicle, the contact had to place the gear in neutral and apply the emergency brake. The vehicle was not taken to the dealer for diagnostic testing or repairs. The approximate failure mileage was 180,000.
Several years of recurrent engine and transmission noise taken to the dealership for diagnosis with no success. At the fifth or sixth complaint, and when the warranty had expired, the passport Chrysler dealer advised that I needed a new transmission for a 2000 Chrysler 300M.
