Engine intermittently stalling at dangerous highway speeds (60 or 70mph) and at times when coming to a stop. Engine has stalled unexpectedly several times over the past eight months for no apparent reason and then starts right back up after coming to a stop. Lights, indicator lights and instrument cluster sometimes flicker on and off right before stalling. Car has had diagnostics ran on it, but no error codes were present.

Engine died as I was making a left hand turn. Pulled to the curb and tried to restart the engine. Engine would turn over but not start. Car towed to local mechanic who diagnosed problem as defective crankshaft sensor. Hard to steer with the engine dead. Not sure if my wife could have turned the car or not. Extremely dangerous.

In 7/03 car died on highway at 75 mph with no warning finally managed to get it going again and left at dealer. Dealer said it need tune up. We replaced plugs, egr, and cleaned map sensor. In 9/03 same thing happened on highway, this time dealer said to replace map sensor. We did. 1 week later same thing on highway again. Managed to restart and drive to dealer. This time it was powertrain control module. Dealer replaced. On way home from dealer car ran rough and died. Dealer said it was throttle position sensor. We replaced. 11/03 car died this time on a side road (thank god) would not restart. Had towed home and then towed to dealer. Dealer said it was intake valves on both sides and replaced. 2 days after picking up car it died again on a side road. Dealer currently has car and cannot figure out what is wrong with it. There is no warning when car is going to die out I am lucky not to be dead as each time it died on highway I was going 75 mph and in passing lane. I noticed 7 or 8 like complaints on your website. Only one got resolved. I am hoping to be number 2.

I have replaced 7 Goodyear tires on my 1999 300M as well as one chrome rim (several serious blowouts). The driver & passenger window motors required replacement. Have mysterious 2 inch dashboard crack near passenger side airbag. Replaced sensors (crank case?). chafing wires cause unexpected stalls & failures. Local dealer trying to diagnose current problem-car stalls after shift into drive. Afraid to keep a car with only 42,000 miles. Love the look & room of the car but may be too dangerous to risk stalling on a highway at 65mph or missing an interview.

The first incident happened 3 days after purchasing our 1999 Chrysler 300M, while driving the engine just stopped running, that meant that everything stopped working the steering, gas, etc. And then I found that if I don't warm the car up for about 1/2 hour to 45 minutes it will stop and while warming the car up it will stop at least 3 times in the process. My friend also has a 1999 Chrysler 300M and hers recently started doing the same thing. I think this a very dangerous thing that happens while driving. It could possibly cause a serious accident. It has to be something wrong with these particular cars and Chrysler should do something about it.

Tires are worn excessively, all 4 tires affected. Tires according to Goodyear should last between 20000 and 40000 miles. Goodyear Eagle tires, dot nk43bmdr199, 17 inch tires, consumer states spare tire is also worn. Goodyear states that tires are not the problem, vehicle has vibration and pulls to the left, could be suspension or tire related. Engine failed due to pistons too close together, consumer states ever since vehicle has been repaired, it does not run normal now. Rotors were replaced, brakes resurfaced.
