As many have stated about the Chrysler 300 model stalling and kind of running a little rough occasionally while idling and I am very surprised they are still in business. The Chrysler I have is my second and last one, the other one I owned was when I was much younger and only bought this one because my brother told me it was a good solid car and had no issues with it. I have a few family members who have purchased Chrysler and Dodge products over the years and they all have had horror stories like the Chrysler 300 stalling issue talked about. In short I would just as soon see Chrysler/Dodge shut there doors as a public service to the country and have some type of drive to remove the rest of there junk from the roadways.

As thousands of others have stated, I also have a 300c that just randomly shuts off while driving or when just stopped and idling. I have researched the problem and tried pretty much everything on the web out there. I have not taken it to a dealership as many others have stated they just waste a lot of money there, get no resolution and if there is one thing that Chrysler/Dodge and Ford mechanics can't do, it is fix automobiles, heck they can't even service them properly most of the time.

The only trouble codes I have gotten, when it does give one is the U0100 and the P0700. From what I gather a comms problem between the PCM and the TCM. The first thing I did was pulled the PCM and soaked the pins and the connectors in a vinegar solution, spray them off with electiclean after that and then blew the dry with compressed air. This actually made a noticeable improvement for several weeks and then the problem returned. Having been through the other suggestions such as changing plugs, transmission oil change, thoroughly cleaned the "throttle body" ( I quoted that because on a port fuel injection your throttle body is not longer there so I am actually referring to the butterfly and that housing on the air intake of the intake manifold). My back ground is cable harness and circuit cards from the aerospace industry and from what I have been able to prove out, I would guess the Junk Builders at Chrysler have an issue with the connectors or cabling in the harness. As the only time I have had any real success in alleviating the problem is when I have pulled the PCM connector and cleaned it. I actually did it twice with the second time seeing the problem subside but not for as long as it did the first time. Chrysler/Dodge has never gotten the electrical or electronics right in all the years they have been working with it int automobile and are dismal failures at designing and implementing electrical controls in to there products.

If the resistance of the spark plugs is so critical to the correct operation that you can't use like brands to the Champion brand then Chrysler should be forced to buy all these cars back. I installed an Autolite XP5263, the problem was persistent before I installed them as well as after. I also put 0w20 in for the winter months as we will see well below 0 Fahrenheit. The problem persists on E, 1/3, 1/2, 3/4 and full tank of gas.

If anyone has any actual success stories or suggestions please pass them on, thanks.

Purchased a used Chrysler 2006 300C 5.7 Hemi on 10/29/2014, and the very next day lights came on dashboard and car stalled. Called the dealership where we bought it from and they said bring it in, we will take a look at it. Brought it in and they keep vehicle for 1 day, went to pick it up the next day and they said they changed the crankshaft sensor and it was all good to go. The very next day, same problem.

Contacted Chrysler about the fuel tank replacement and our vin# was part of the lifetime warranty on gas tank and the problem we were having sounded like the symptoms. We had to wait for the gas tank for 8 weeks, but that was OK and we didn't drive it much. Then we got the call that the gas tank was in and we set up an appointment. We were very excited that our bucking, surging and stalling situation was over. No, it was not over. With the new gas tank in and still having the same problem but now it is worse then ever before. We called Chrysler back and the dealership took a look at it again. They said that there was nothing wrong with it after checking over the fuel systems.

It seems to me that there is a greater problem. and no one wants to say. You can't trust to take it in cause they just put a part in and say it's fixed and then you have the same problem the next day. That gets pretty expensive. We are not looking for something for free, we are looking for the problem and if we have to pay for it, so be it. Right now they just fix this or that hoping for a Hail Mary or something.

This will be the last Chrysler that I ever buy. It's bad enough being scared half to death driving your vehicle and the safety of your family, but the complete ARROGANCE of Chrysler and their service mechanics is UNACCEPTABLE!! Acting as if it's no big deal.....SHAME ON THEM. And on top of it all, these cars are being passed around to the next victim. Very, very bad business CHRYSLER!!!!!
