Car will stall in neutral, park, driving slow or going 80 miles an hr. When driving it's like the key was turned off comes right back on. When in park or neutral will start right back up. Sometimes it will do it 3 or 4 times in a row when driving real scary have been taking back roads so not to get caught in traffic. Dealer does not know what the problem is, they want to start replacing Tcm & Pcm that is not how you fix problems.

So... Here I am 6 years into owning this vehicle and it's newest problem reared its ugly head. My 300c has recently taken to shutting off while driving. As long as I'm on the gas, we're rolling. However, at any stop sign, red light, slowed traffic, or the like, it likes to just stall out. No caution lights, no beeps, no alarms... NO WARNING. I've seen so many "assumptions" as to the problem and solution, but nothing definitive. It has been to the dealership more times than I can count and cost me thousands of dollars. They can never resolve the problem. I'm over this car. I take such good care of it and am on top of the maintenance. I've heard of the problems with the TIPM, ECM, crankshaft sensor, and the fuel evap problem but fixing all these things doesn't address the problem. Anyone have any ideas that won't leave me broke and homeless... ??? Or did I buy a POS car that's pretty much just a polished turd? I put so much time and diligence into keeping this car "cherry" inside and out and it's beginning to make me crazy. Thanks for any advice. ✌

So, 900 miles after a regular dealership checkup and servicing on a 2006 300C with no other engine problems (ever--in 10 years and 134,000 miles), the engine, which had been running like a top, suddenly became sluggish at low RPMs, would not idle, and just quit at a stoplight and would not start again. I had it towed to my favorite mechanic. He just called to tell me that something happened that stuck the valves open in the number four cylinder, and the transition controller (the one that shifts the engine from 4-8 cylinders) is going nuts. Apparently, the only options are to scrap the vehicle or spend eight grand replacing the engine. From other complaints I've seen on this site, problems like this are not uncommon. As much as I've always loved Chryslers, I don't think I'll be buying another one any time soon.

IF stopped or taking off car will stall, starts right back up. Will do this all the time, will take a few seconds before trans kicks in. Will do it at all speeds all gauges shut off and right back on. Took it to the dealer they can't figure it out. They want to start replacing parts, to me that is not acceptable. It is getting worse it will do it 20 or more times while driving less than 10 miles.

I had this same problem about two years ago. Was driving one night and car just quit. Fortunetly I was on a residential street and could muscle it to the side. It wouldn't restart and of course I didn't have my phone with me so walked home and called AAA. Next morning all dash lights came on, could lock and unlock door but engine wouldn't even try to start. Towed it to the dealer and they came up with the fuel wasn't vaporizing so replaced the entire fuel system. I don't know why replacing the injectors wouldn't fix it but they had me so I paid for it. The car has been fine since then until this past Friday when after driving around town for several hours I came out of a store and the car wouldn't start. All dash light came on and locking and unlocking doors worked. Tried for a few minutes then called AAA for a tow home. Got home and it still wouldn't start. Next morning it started fine and I drove it for awhile but held my breath all the time. I dearly love this car, when it's running right, but am now debating on trying to fix it or giving up. Any suggestions on what the problem is and a permanent fix?

I started having problems with car 6/15 with the car stalling at times [anytime]. The dash lights flashes on and off and headlights going out and me having to pull over [at night] and having to turn the car off and restart in order for the lights to come back on, a dangerous and scary situation. The car sporadically spitting and bucking uncontrollably. I am taking car to local dealership soon and hopefully get some answers. Luckily, I have another vehicle.

I got Chrysler corporate involved and they say long as dealer can't diagnose a problem there's nothing they can do. I'm really bout to blow my top with this car I only had it a year and paying car payments for a car that I'm scared to drive. Chrysler really need to get it together for someone gets hurt are killed

I was taking my son to his appointment when my car jerked twice as if it was going to cut off but it kept going. When we left the doctor I got two blocks up the road and it jerked and cut off in the middle of the road no warning lights nothing. I crank the car five times but after three seconds or so it would cut back off. We sat for 45 minutes I crunk it again and let it run. It ran for like ten minutes and cut off again. I ended up leaving the car on side of the road because it stared sleeting outside and my child was in the car.

I started experiencing this problem at 60K miles. I learned not to fill up the tank. - So on a fill up I cut the fueling short and drove a few minutes to a grocery store. Got back in the car and couldn't get it to start - when it did finally start it was running really rough - thought it might have been vapor lock - or oxygen sensor. Car has stalled at stoplights but not while in motion... not yet....

SOOOOO I was pretty surprised to find all these posts about a safety issue that Chrysler is well aware of yet is doing nothing to address? I hope that isn't true Chrysler.... I work in PR... I know enough about crisis communications to see the writing on the wall here and it isn't good.... I will provide Chrysler an opportunity to show that they have been doing their level best to ensure that the consumers of their product remain safe. NOTE TO CHRYSLER: Be advised - if I do not experience a genuine effort in earnest on behalf of Chrysler to remedy this problem, I will escalate this issue beyond the company's estimate of any current cost / benefit analysis.

My car has been at dealer for 6 weeks and dealer charged me over 1300 dollars for repairs claiming they were the cause. First they said my battery was bad and killed my front end module and charged me for that saying that would fix my problem, wrong. Then it was a bad pcm, wrong. Then claimed all 16 spark plugs were bad and that was the problem, wrong again.

So after spark plugs were changed I got a call saying problem solved and they were test driving my car on highway and no sputtering or shutting off. So now I'm happy finally my car is repaired, first thing Saturday morning I went to pick it up. Got in started it up and guess what car sputters. Get it out on highway home as I lived an hr from dealer and car sputters most the way and as I pull into my driveway it cuts off. I'm instantly pissed.

First thing Monday I take car to my personal mechanic who tell me spark plugs that were supposed to be new look like they have 30k miles on them and that there is no way they were new and not only that should have used platinum plugs. I call dealer very upset to findings and he agreed to have car towed back at their expense. Of course after 2 days they tell me that the plugs are new and the reason they are black is because of the oil in car. So then after 5 days they tell me they changed the coils which this car has 8 and it will cost me ANOTHER 700 dollars. I rejected letting them no that they already got me for about 2 grand saying my car was fixed and how can they justify charging me again after I paid for parts I didn't need. I finally got my car back home ordered 8 coils at $26.99 a piece changed them myself, after 30 mins started my car and could tell that did it. Drove around my city with no sputtering or shut downs.

The reason I'm pissed is because, if the dealer mechanics took 6 weeks changing parts and swearing by this why should I have gotten ripped off over something so minor that they could not figure out?

Today I refueled my Chrysler 300C. I pulled away from the pump and within 1 minute of refueling came to a stop light and the car stalled. The engine light comes on and it just stops. After restarting I went on my way knowing I had to watch it as this has happened multiple times over the last 3 years. I traveled about 3 minutes and slowed in traffic and once again the car hesitates, jerks (as though I am driving a standard shift and can get it in gear) and then completely stalls. Since I am in traffice I put on the 4-way signal and start the car. I get about a block and the car stalls again. I then am driving through a construction area that has one lane. My car hesitates, the engine comes on it the car lurches and again it stalls. It did this 5 times within a 5 mile area.

As mentioned this has been happening for at least 3 years. I have had a starter installed because they thought it was bad, spark plugs changed, usual oil changes and maintenance. The car has had computer analysis and I have been told we can't find anything wrong. Mechanics at times act like I must not know how to drive - at a Chrysler dealership.

This is a frightening experience. It happens intermittently even when I haven't refueled. I have been driving down a hill and making a left turn into busy traffic and the car stalls. I have been in stop and go traffic and it stalls. It stalls when on busy roads going 50 or more miles an hour and going through intersections. It has only been through the Grace of God that I haven't been in a serious accident. You loose power steering and trying to guide the vehicle to a stop and throw on the 4-ways when this happens.

I don't understand why the problem can't be identified and fixed. I noticed on this site that a NHTSA evalutation was completed and CLOSED in February 2014 saying "this represents a low risk to motor vehicle safety and is adequately addressed by Chrysler extended warranty." What are they thinking?! This type of problem is a set up for a major accident. Does it take a traffic fatality to make this high risk for injury or death? You don't have to be traveling at 70 miles an hour to have an accident that causes a fatality.

This is frightening when you repeatedly experience this and frustrating that no one seems to know how to fix it. You can try to be cautious but, never know when it is going to start hesitating, jerking forward and then shutting down.

I have loved my Chrysler. I haven't had any major problems with it until around 2012. The car has been garage kept, is driven on highway as well as local miles - at high speeds and lower speeds. It is a shame that such a beautiful car provides this much agony. Frankly, I am surprised to find so many other people experiencing the same thing I am. I have never researched the problem before. Because of seeing this information I am going to register a complaint with Chrysler. Thanks for the opportunity to share.

FIRST OFF I WANT TO SAY CHRYSLER HAS THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I'VE EVER SEEN!!!. I'VE HAD MY VEHICLE ABOUT 1 YEAR TO DATE FROM OCTOBER 8TH. SINCE FEBRUARY OF THIS YEAR I'VE HAD MAJOR ISSUES.

IT ALL STARTED WHEN MY CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON AND WAS READING A P0500 CODE. I TOOK IT TO CHRYSLER AND THEY TOLD ME MY COMPUTER AND ALL OXYGEN SENSORS NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. SO I WENT ON AND DID IT, IT COST ME A LITTLE OVER $1200 DOLLARS. OKAY, SO ABOUT TWO WEEKS LATER I STARTED EXPERIENCING ERRATIC BEHAVIOR WHERE THE GAUGES ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL AND (CHECK ENGINE) LIGHT WOULD COME ON AND OFF AND THE CAR WOULD BUCK AND JERK AND MAKE A PONG! SOUNDED LIKE WHEN YOUR CHECK ENGINE LIGHT FIRST COMES ON. SO I TOOK IT BACK TO THEM AND THERE TELLING ME THEY COULDN'T FIGURE IT OUT BUT MY ENGINE MOUNTS NEED TO BE REPLACED AND ITS PRESSING DOWN ON A HARNESS THAT POSSIBLY COULD BE THE PROBLEM.MIND YOU THEY HAVE MY CAR FOR ABOUT TWO WEEKS AT THIS POINT! I'M PISSED TO SAY THE LEAST!

I THEN SAY "F" CHRYSLER AND TAKE IT TO A LOCAL MECHANIC AND AFTER ABOUT TWO WEEKS OF DIAGNOSTICS HE FIGURES OUT ITS THE SPARK PLUGS AND CHRYSLER HAD ISSUES WITH AFTER MARKET PLUGS BEING PUT IN AND TO USE "OEM" PLUGS AT ALL TIMES.SO THIS FIXED THAT PROBLEM BUT AFTER 3 DAYS OF WORRY FREE DRIVING ANOTHER PROBLEM OCCURS ON THE 4TH DAY WITCH CAUSED MY CAR TO SHUT OFF AT A COMPLETE STOP BUT ABLE TO START RIGHT BACK UP. I THEN BRING IT BACK TO MY MECHANIC AND DOES MORE DIAGNOSTIC WORK FOR ABOUT A MONTHS TIME AND PERFORMS NUMEROUS WORK SUCH AS NEW THROTTLE BODY, CRANK SHIFT SENSOR,TRANSMISSION FLUSH, EGR VALVE CHECK, FUSE BOX CLEANING, ELECTRICAL GROUND CHECK, COILS REPLACED AND PCM CHECKED.

AFTER NUMEROUS ATTEMPTS AND ASSISTANCE FROM TECHNICIANS FROM CHRYSLER IN DETROIT VIA SKYPE, HE SAYS IT HAS TO BE THE PCM AND YOU SHOULD TAKE IT BACK TO CHRYSLER SINCE YOU JUST HAD IT REPLACED A COUPLE OF MONTHS AGO AND ITS STILL UNDER WARRANTY.SO THAT'S WHAT I DID. SO NOW I'M BACK AT CHRYSLER FOR THE FOURTH TIME IN A MATTER OF MONTHS, THE SAME ONES WHO COULD NOT FIX MY LAST ISSUE I HAD BEFORE THIS ONE.

MY CAR IS THERE FOR ANOTHER TWO WEEKS NOW AND THERE TELLING ME THEY COULD NOT GIVE ME AN ANSWER ON MY PROBLEM BECAUSE ITS NOT STALLING FOR THEM AND I SHOULD PROBABLY THINK ABOUT GETTING RID OF IT. I'M EXTREMELY PISSED AT THIS POINT SO I TAKE MY VEHICLE WITH ITS INTERMITTENT SHUT OFF'S AND DRIVE AWAY FRUSTRATED AND SCARED THAT IT MIGHT SHUT OFF ON ME AS I TURN ON TO ON COMING TRAFFIC OR AS I'M BRAKING ON THE HIGHWAY AT HIGH SPEEDS. CHRYSLER REALLY NEEDS TO ADDRESS THESE TYPE OF ISSUES BECAUSE IT'S A REAL SAFETY HAZARD.

My 06 Chrysler was the car I fell in love with, going from a Lincoln to a Chrysler was a big change. The beginning of 2015 problems began getting more severe. Several modulars have been replaced and fuel pump among other problems. My latest hit took me aback, my car in April 2014 begin stalling while driving putting me in dangerous conditions.

My car always went to the Chrysler dealer for problems. I was thinking that the Chrysler dealer certainly could find the problem. Oops, wrong. After four visits for the same problem, it was clear no one could diagnosis the problem. They told me it would not read a code. It was internal problem. It did not appear that Chrysler had and any tech. that was capable of handling the problem. I spoke with the manger and he was unable to solve the problem. Chrysler just wanted me to go away and take the car with me. My feelings were really hurt at the way the situation was handle.

May I say to Chrysler if you continue with this behavior you will be looking at another bail-out. Good riddance to you Chrysler. My thrill is gone for my Chrysler and three family members bought Chrysler due to my silly bragging about my car and the service I was receiving. Would like for any one who has problems with the car stalling out while driving,l please talk to me.

My car has died at least 12 times while driving. Three times at night. While in a curve lost power had to slam on brakes. Last week died while on I-95 in traffic. This is very dangerous. Again, dealer can't seem to figure out why. I asked them to check the electrical system and computer. They never checked, instead they stated we let it run for a while and it didn't cut off. What a sorry ass excuse. In other words you did nothing. Wow, so I guess I have to have a accident before someone solves the problem.

As I'm driving my car around the first weekend in February, my car cuts off at the light. I put car in park and started it back up and it went as normal. About two hours later all of the lights on the dash cut off and car cut off again. I had enough juice to make to the side of the road.

I took car back to CarMax Rivergate Madison, TN, they did a diagnostic and stated that there were no problems. 2 weeks later the same thing happen, I filled car with gas, started car, and car cut off in the middle of rode. I cranked car back up and it drove fine. This car cuts off whenever it wants to and the dealership cannot find a problem. I'm left paying rental fees and diagnostic fees only for them to say nothing is wrong. It is evident that other people are having the same issue and Chrysler has done nothing about it.

SO SAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Help needed...
