Chrysler 300C 2005 will completely die upon filling tank with fuel. Will restart and die 1 or 2 more times then run fine. My concern is accident waiting to happen. Solution change gas tank which chrylser refuses to do without customer paying for it. I feel a recall is needed before someone it injured or possibly killed. Filed a complaint, have a case number nothing resolved. I feel a solution is necessary as soon as possible. Problem has occurred from time of purchase.
2005 Chrysler 300C w/ 5.7L while driving @ approx 35mph, vehicle would drop out of gear as if in neutral, check eng light came on, setting P700 & P701 plus egr prob. If car was steered to safe area and turned off then re-started, prob would momentarily resolve itself becoming intermittent @ various speeds or atmospheric conditions. R&R of egr assembly and cleaning, then clearing of codes seems to have resolved the prob. Problem started on Oct 16, 2010, repair performed on October 19, 2010 and has not returned. This could become an issue w/ other vehicles of same make & model, due to P701 is stating problem w/ transmission module.
