The refurbished brains don't last long. First one I had done at the dealership cost me $700 plus labor. Total was $1,500 and a week later that one went out and I had to have car towed and miss work while they put a second one in. Next one was done by a mechanic shop and was around 7$00 I believe, total not as pricey. Third one, I got from a company that only does parts and refurbished brains for cars and installed myself that was still $300.00. Now I think my car issues are my brain going out again, because its so sporadic. All of a sudden this warning light then it's not working right, then something else is not working right. UGH. It's at the 200,000 miles, so I know its getting up there but this damn car if it hasn't been one thing its been another for awhile. Love the car but so many issues. One shop said they wouldn't work on my car because they are a known issue car.
