Here I am again with the same and even worse problem on my brand new 2015 Chrysler 300C. Last night around 11:00 PM, on my way home from work, the car broke down. This just hours from getting it back from the dealership stating that it was just fluke. I took a video this time. Started shifting by itself, all warning indicators started flashing, check engine light came on. Worse of all, the vehicle lost all power and forced to pull over on the side of the highway. The police came by and forced me to move it away from the highway. At a very low speed, I was able to get to the next exit and parked at a gas station. I brought the car to "park" and it shut down.
I was unable to crank it back on. I called roadside assistance and they scheduled a tow truck. An hour and a half later I call back and learn that the tow truck is not coming. At that point, it was below zero temperature. The advice was for them to call another service and for me to wait around without any guarantees. The other alternative was for me to leave my keys in the car and leave (all risk on me). Today, I came to be by my car while a new towing company was scheduled by roadside assistance. They booked the same company that left me in the cold last night. Three towing companies later, not showing up and my entire morning wasted, I tried the car and it turned on. However, the loss of power was there, as well as the check engine light.
The dealership now has the car and anticipate taking several days to try to pinpoint the problem.
Again, I almost froze myself last night. What a terrible service that is. I am incredibly frustrated, sad, and upset. The case manager at Chrysler has not contacted me either, and it has been a week now.
