This problem if not corrected Is going to cause accidents and possibly death. I hope Chrysler owns up to the fact that they have a real death causing problem with there Monostable Gearshift Its really scary to think that your car is going to kill you. I purchased my 2014 Chrysler 300 December 31, 2014 with 6000 miles on it from a dealer. It was his personal vehicle so I felt it had been taken care of and at 6000 miles, well, you'd think it would be in proper working condition. Come February, I noticed a slight hesitation when shifting from 2nd to 3rd.
One morning as I was getting onto the highway the car jerked then dropped down to 1000 RPMS & would not go over 15mph. I limped it to the Chrysler garage to find out it had went into "safe mode". They explained it had a bad star sensor & a program update. I read on the invoice it also had "metal shavings in the fluid". He told me to give it a bit as it was in "Learning mode" which learns the drivers habits.
Fast forward 2 months & it still had issues. In reverse, it sounded like a German Army tank heading into battle! Here it is July & I'm getting a full transmission replacement. Now to top it off, my paint is popping off on the front plastic clip. Only 10,000 miles & my car is a complete piece of crap. Buyer beware....
