On Friday March 7, 2015 my car was parked outside of my home and the sunroof spontaneously shattered. I contacted Chrysler directly about my 300 S and was told to contact my local Chrysler dealership. Once I got in touch with the dealer they told me it's something they would have to contact Chrysler about and they are unsure if my warranty will cover it. The dealer stated they have never heard of such a thing before, however I've seen numerous reports.
The contact owns a 2013 Chrysler 300. The contact stated that the moon roof was cracked and the glass shattered. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 16,000.
