I drive an hour one way to work Monday through Friday. Being a women driving along in a rural area could have really been dangerous had I broken down. Thank God this happened in my drive way.
My wife was sitting in the driveway with the engine running and the car a made loud noise and fluid begin to leak from under the car. This can not be normal wear and tear, there is something wrong.
I believe that this was a fault of Chrysler and should have been replaced by them. What kind of cheap materials are they using to make their fans. They are blaming it on the Florida heat. I had extended warranty, but they would not pay what Chrysler wanted to charge for repairs, leaving me to pay Chrysler the balance,$300. It was very fortunate that it occurred at a speed of 20 MPH in our development. Who knows what would of happened on the Highway in high traffic?
Apparently, the Chrysler 300 has issues with the fans breaking and then flying into the radiator. This happened to my car and will cost me $700 to replace the parts when it should have been recalled as it was on the Chrysler 300s with the "severe weather" system.

Was stopped at a light and heard a loud boom, like something dropped onto the engine. All the fan blades broke off and punctured the radiator.
