My daughter has 2006 Chrysler 300C. She bought it used several months ago and really did not have any major problems until about a month ago. First sign of problem was car cut off while driving and transmission fluid on ground. Had towed to repair shop. They said they fixed transmission leak. She drove it about 20 miles and car stopped again and would not start back up.
Took it back to shop. They said this time it was a 'sensor'. Supposedly replaced sensor. Daughter drove car again and it cut off again. Repair shop said she needed to take it to a transmission specialist they recommended. Trans specialist said he could not find anything wrong. Daughter picked up car, drove 20 miles and it started jerking and stopped again. $800 out of pocket for above 'fixes'. This time she had it towed to Chrysler dealer. Dealer said its the transmission and it would have to be rebuilt. Dealer had car two weeks 'awaiting parts'.
Dealer allegedly rebuilt/repaired transmission (over $2500) and changed alternator :-) Daughter picked up car, drove ok for one week, then...you guessed it. Car stopped on her. This is ridiculous. Even if they fix it she has to be paranoid about driving too far. After seeing all the complaints, not only on this site but on others also, it is extremely frustrating. Has anyone found a fix yet or any ideas, i.e., calling attorney general? Any good information is appreciated.
