The contact owns a 2006 Chrysler 300. The contact stated that there was a constant loss of power and the vehicle stalled numerous times. The failure occurred intermittently. The manufacturer provided extended warranty campaign (X53) for the fuel tank replacement, but the remedy failed. Shore motor company (222 S 16th St, clarinda, ia 51632, (712) 542-6581) indicated that the manufacturer had not issued a recall. Tri state Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram (2017 S main St, maryville, mo 64468, (660) 582-3677) diagnosed that the power train control module needed to be replaced and they had seen five other models with the same failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The vehicle was not included in NHTSA action number: PE13016 (fuel system, gasoline); however, the failure was related. The manufacturer provided no solution and indicated that the vehicle may be sold. The failure mileage was not available... consumer stated for the past 3.5 years consumer had problems on numerous occasions, shutting off without warning. Fuel tank was replaced twice and fuel pumps replaced. It was advised consumer sell the vehicle.
