Reverse gear went out after vehicle slipped once, acted as if in neutral when in reverse and pressing gas pedal down but would not move. Had local towing and mechanic shop in Gower Missouri check transmission fluid level in which was found to be a quart low on transmission fluid. Car had been extremely well maintained and all recommended maintenance services completed by previous owners. Able to drive car in all other gears, codes p0007 code appear with no check engine light or any type of warning or indication that a problem was present within my 2005 Chrysler 300 3.5l v6 rwd car with the 42rle transmission My vehicle also has issues occur suddenly regarding front end suspension has death shake and very loud clinking popping banging noises while driving at all speeds. Steering wheel has a weird squeek/creeking noise when turning the wheel at times and feels like steering is loose. Tie rod end and sway link bar on front passenger right side of vehicle is bent opposite direction it is supposed to and car also has higher rpm than normal and shifting at higher rpms. Went into limp mode twice which I reset myself due to having an emergency where I had to drive it. With the suspension and steering issues it causes a safety risk due to sway link and tie rod end breaking causing vehicle to crash and wheel to detach from vehicle. Transmission gear loss due to transmission fluid leaking and gear linkage issues causes safety risk due to the event of reversing to move out of the way and to avoid potential harm to passengers (my 5 young children) within the vehicle in the event the vehicle can't move from the place parked. The vehicle is available to be inspection and has been checked out by 3 different mechanic shops located in Gower, saint Joseph, and Savannah Missouri all in which stateed verbally that low fluid due to leak somewhere from transmission and poor linkage components within gear solenoid and possible pcm and mil issues to be at fault of vehicle mufacture

The contact pulled the vehicle off the roadway and noticed that the oil warning indicator was illuminated. The contact was able to restart the vehicle and it operated normally. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. The VIN was invalid. The failure mileage was unknown.

I was driving on a city street, going 25 mph when I heard a knocking sound, I thought it was something I had hit but, it wasn't. I kept driving for about 5 blocks when it occurred again. I pulled into a service station and the mechanic told me that it sounded like it was my tie rods. I contacted a mechanic and he told me that its was the tie rods. I have never had a problem in all the years I have had my car, but this is a first. Not sure if this is under a recall or if anyone else is experiencing this, but it can be frightening.

I was driving in the fast lane on the interstate and all of a sudden the car began to shut down. It took all my might to move the car from the fast lane to the median, which was on the opposite side of the slow lane. I could have easily been killed due to the speeds of the cars around me.this was the most frightening situation I've ever been in!! I am not due for an oil change until next month. The car never sounded funny or anything.

The vehicle was towed to the dealer for diagnosis where it was stated that the shift interlock needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired and the manufacturer was notified. I noticed that when I drive my car it pulls to the right. I took it to the dealer to have it fixed and the serviceman said that the problem was fixed it just needed an alignment. I left the dealership and drove down the hwy and it began to pull to the right again. I went back to the repair shop and they said to me that the alignment machine said that it was aligned just perfect. So I took the repairman on a test drive and again it pull to the right. So back to the repair shop we went and they replace a bolt or something to that effect(tsb) and it still pulls to the right. I notice a lot of the 05 models have that problem, but it seems as though Chrysler has fixed the problem on the 06 and newer models. When you hit divot in the rd. The front end shakes and basically the front tires actually leave the rd. For a brief second. The problem has not been corrected yet and all that the serviceman tells me is that is the way the car was design.(which I doubt seriously) if that was the case then I and a lot of other owners of the Chrysler 300 wouldn't have purchase the vehicle.
Driving on curve on a busy highway, was unable to make slight turn until I forced steering wheel to turn. Signal light some how jammed up steering. If it was my wife she would have been in an accident because I had to apply a lot of force to turn and doing so heard something snap in the steering column. Steering is working now. But now signal light is not. I have to manually turn on/off signal each and every time.
Car pulls to the right. Steering wheel vibrates/shakes at higher speeds-wheel alignment that didn't correct problem passenger air bag intermittently comes on and off headlights come on and off. Left completely off now.-told need new ballast but cannot afford.
I have had numerous problems with my Chrysler 300, which are becoming more costly and defeating the purpose of my purchasing a new car. First, I was subject to a recall regarding the transmission. Next, the rack and pinion went out. Thankfully that was covered under warranty. Now I have to repair the outer tie rods when I have less than 75,000 miles on the car. This repair is $500 on top of what I have to pay for the car payment and is not covered under warranty. The brakes recently had to be replaced (another $350) and I am also being presented with issues pertaining to the oil pan (which apparently is made of plastic).
I have a 2005 300C that I bought in April 2007, it only had 14425, miles, when I tested drove it, I notice that it was pulling to the right, I thought it was a low tire, and I was in love with the car from the time I saw it. As weeks went by and after placing air in all tires, the car continued to pull to the right. So I called the dealership and stated my problem, they asked me to come in. I told them the problem that I was having and they recommend a wheel alignment that I paid for. I drove it home and noticed that it was doing the same thing, pulling to the right, I called them and made another appointment, this time the said it was the tires, so I replaced the tires and put the Goodyear assurance on it, and again paid for that. I took off again for home, and noticed the same problem. I turned the car around and went back to the dealer, and told them it was not fixed. They said to me that Chrysler knows about the problem, after I have spent the money myself trying to repair a problem when I still have bumper to bumper cover, that when Chrysler come out with a fix I would be notified. This is wrong, and Chrysler should repair the problem, and give us back our money that we have spent in trying to repair something that they know about. Updated 11/26/07
I purchased a 2005 Chrysler 300C on Dec 9 2004 from warnock of NJ. Noticed right away pulling in front end of the vehicle. Brought the car back into the dealer on 12/12/05. The dealer stated there was no problem brought the car back in on 3/22/05 the dealer states no problem. Brought it back in on 6/24/05 for the steering wheel being crooked they fixed the problem. Had to bring the car back in on 6/30/05 for moaning in the steering the tires were worn down already after 2 rotations. They did an alignment and fixed the moaning. Brought the car to Chrysler of paramus on 9/8/05 for the pulling again in the front end. They fixed that.had the car back into warnock Chrysler 11/10/05 for the rims on my car were rusted. They wouldnt replace them I had to fight with Chrysler. 12/24/05 took car to westwood Chrysler for pulling in the front end and sunroof leaking.they fixed the roof and the fronend.2/22/06 took car back to Chrysler of westwood for replacement of my rims that were rusted. Also had them check the pulling again in the frontend. The sunroof was still leaking they had to fix it again. While it was leaking into my car all along. 5/06 took car to westwood for new tires. Continental wouldnt take responsibility for the wear of the tires. While all along they couldnt fix the pulling in the frontend.9/06 took car back to westwood for the tires wearing out again I purchased another set of tires not the continentals they were offering. Had to pay out of pocket again. 9/06 took car back for steering & rattling in frontend. Couldnt find the problem. 11/06 had a transmission leak in my driveway they fixed that. Jan 07 had to pay for new upper ball joints on the car and struts Chrysler wouldnt take on responsibility go figure when all along I complained of the problem. Tried to trade car in lost the value of car. People we need to work together and go after Chrysler they produced a car not worth driving and were paying for the mistake. Anyone intrested in class action.
Ever since I purchased my Chrysler 300C in August or Sept of 2004 it has pulled to the right. I have had the front end re-aligned on 3 separate occasions without success. The dealers always over-inflate the tires to 35 psi to mask the problem.
: the contact stated the vehicle steering continually pulled to the right while driving 45 mph. The service dealer performed front alignments on 6 separate occasions and replaced both front tires, but could not identify the problem. The steering continued to pull to the right. I drive a Chrysler 300C, when I purchased the car I felt the car veering to the right. Well I had taken the car in to the dealer and I was told that I needed a wheel alignment and I also needed to have my wheel rotated. Well I did that and still I had the same problem. So I took the car back and was told that I needed another wheel alignment and my wheels needed to be rotated I did all of that and I still have the same problem. I also have a problem with my horn not blowing when the car is not running. I find all of the above complaints to hazardous and dangerous to myself, family and friends. I am told by the dealer that there is no problem. I have tried calling the service manager for the last two days and have yet a receive a response.
