THE CONTACT OWNS A 2016 CHRYSLER 200. WHILE DRIVING AT ANY SPEED, THE TRANSMISSION FAILED AND THE VEHICLE STALLED. THE FAILURE OCCURRED IN THE MIDDLE OF TRAFFIC AND THE VEHICLE WAS ALMOST STRUCK BY ANOTHER VEHICLE. ALL THE WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO JIM MARSH CHRYSLER JEEP (8575 W CENTENNIAL PKWY, LAS VEGAS, NV 89149, (702) 946-9000) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT A NEW POWER TRAIN CONTROL MODULE WAS NEEDED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND DID NOT ASSIST. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 40,000. Dealer has fixed the problem (supposedly) concerning the computer malfunctions. Now there is an air bag problem which will be taken to the dealer Friday. Transmission continues to jolt and almost stall out.
