Starter went out two days ago and smoke billowed from under the hood at the same time. They want to charge me $1000 to replace the starter so that THEN they can determine what else is wrong and caused the smoke and noise while driving to work that morning. Plus the fee for diagnosis of approx $150.

I've since contacted Chrysler and an agent will get back to me on Tues or Wed of next week. Meanwhile, I have no car, nor a loaner vehicle as the dealership didn't have any available. I was informed I could rent a car and be reimbursed as applicable - so, if they decide to.

Purchased a 2016 Chrysler 200 last year. Lately I'm experiencing a string of issues, latest appears to be the starter. At first I thought it was a battery issue, had that "jumped" and now that the car is fully charged the starter seems to be not connecting, forcing the battery to drain and I'm stuck!! Not to mention when the battery is dead, but fully recharged the A/C module goes out and must be re-calibrated at $130 a pop!! I love my "girl" (Chrysler) but it seems as if I experiencing one issue after another. In addition, I've learned that you can't complete shut off the radio??? It's really getting to be too much! Chrysler what were you thinking when you designed this car??? Talk about "backwards" forward thinking! You guys have killed the credibility and reliability of this brand!!!
