CarComplaints.com Notes: The 2015 Chrysler 200 carries the torch of "never buy the 1st year of a new vehicle generation" with pride.
The 2015 model year is the first year of the Chrysler 200's 2nd generation. It has been plagued by problems from the start. Transmission failure at extremely low mileage, many recalls, problems stalling while driving... the list goes on. Maybe Chrysler should have stuck with the 1st generation.

rear view mirror obstructs right side vision
The windshield is slanted too far towards passenger and driver which lowers the roof too much. I like to drive higher up in the seat to see the nose of the car. The rear view mirror is placed directly in the center of the windshield vision blocking the whole passenger side view. if anyone steps out into the street on a right turn or there is a car parked, the vision is totally obstructed. Even driving forward, you cannot see anything coming at you from the right. Its very sacry. I rented this car from Enterprise all excited to have a nice new car that I was thinking about buying, and everyone I said to get in and look at the view said I was correct! Its a danger to people on the street, and to the passengers and drivers while turning or switching lanes.
Also, the dial rather than shift is terrible. The car is brand new and already the dial is lose and rather than going into rear drive, I have to keep changing it because it seems to be loose and it goes directly into Park mode rather than rear. next, the console takes up too much room of driver seat especially. Its clunky and widens up as it reaches the dash. It takes away width from the seat and the gas pedal is even slanted too much my foot keeps slipping off. The car has a heavy feel if you like that and takes off quite nice with good braking. The width of the exterior is deceiving because once you get in you are cramped. Pretty inside but too much space taken up. Should have been more simple and spared room. On screen touch is not that sensitive. You have to fight with it to respond. Not safe while driving. I cannot wait to return the car to the rental company. The colors and knobs are all pretty and shiny but at this point the only thing good about the interiror is the seat. Its very comfortable. The lumbar support is great and the seat can be adjusted any which way.
