The 2015 model year is the first year of the Chrysler 200's 2nd generation. It has been plagued by problems from the start. Transmission failure at extremely low mileage, many recalls, problems stalling while driving... the list goes on. Maybe Chrysler should have stuck with the 1st generation.
Chrysler sucks they don't value their own warranty because my car is still under warranty and they will not reimburse me if I take my car to a transmission specialist to fix the problem. f*ck if I will ever buy another Chrysler in my life! Never ever plus to all my friends don't buy any Chrysler cars ever!
I really do like the vehicle. I get compliments on the looks of the vehicle. I did change the Nexen tires for Continental Extreme Contact 19". The Nexen spin out and don't grip well.
The transmission on this car is the real kicker....It really is a disappointment...Car whines out after flooring it and taking foot off throttle. When in Sport Mode, it seems to jump when coming to a stop. Shift points suck in regular Drive.
I had a 2012 Charger SXT Penstar V6 ...I was told it's the same transmission and engine. It is fast, but doesn't act like the Charger did.....Think they need to reprogram the trans or the Control Module....
AFTER HAVING THE CAR IN THE DEALERSHIP 4 TIMES AND ITS STILL NOT FIXED TO THE BEST OF ITS ABILITY. THEY REALLY NEED TO FIGURE THIS OUT BUT I DONT WANT TO BE THE GINNY PIG OF THIS EXPERIMENT. NOW THAT THEY THINK THEY HAVE FIXED THIS JERKING PROBLEM IT NOW DOES THE WORST THAT I THINK IT HAS DONE SINCE GETTING THE CAR. THE ENGINE IS NOT GOING INTO GEAR WHEN YOU STEP ON THE GAS. IT WILL SIT AT 1000 RPM AND THE SHOOT UP TO 3000 RMP. THEN WHEN I WAS DRIVING HOME LATER TODAY THE ENGINE STARTING RACING AS IF IT WERE GOING TO TAKE OFF. I AM SO DONE WITH THIS CAR
Took to dealer due to trans. was acting up, first time could not find any problems. Second time, which was just a month later, updated computer. 3rd time next month, updated computer again. About a month later had to replace C-clutch snap ring, only 5200 miles was on the car. A week later was told that they need to replace transmission as my check engine light came on and service transmission soon.
Still having issues with this as when going below 40 mph the engine will sound like it is down shifting and makes this grinding noise, and the RPM's will just race. At time the car will surge when I take my foot off the brake.
Started hearing a whinning kinda sound when stepping on the gas, took it to the dealer and they said it was the transsmission. I gotta take it back on Friday to get it fix. There is only 7,000 kms on the car and is already having transmission issues?? Wtf. Its the third time I have taken this car in for diff issues. First one of the radio buttons behind the steering wheel starting giving me issues and sometimes I can hear a buzzing kinda sound coming from what I think its the alternator( which the dealer hasnt been able to fix cuz they cant locate the issue) and now this issue with the transmission. Iam really dissapointed with this car!!!!!
