These cars are NOT safe. They should not shift into gear while driving, or at a stop sign, middle of an intersection anything like that. My husbands 93 Ford Festiva is more reliable than our 2015 Chrysler. We have a baby on the way and I will NOT put him or her inside of this vehicle. I bring it into dealerships and they continue to tell me "nothing is wrong" with the car, it runs perfectly fine which is a lie. I keep getting run around and I feel its because they know my extended warranty is almost up. Every time it goes into a dealership it's either a computer problem they have to update the system or they just replaced my motor apparently which probably a lie cause it leaked the darkest oil you could ever imagine. They won't help the problem at hand they always find "new" problems which "fixes" the car when in all reality doesn't do anything because I keep bringing it back for the same reason and it's still not fixed almost 4 years later!!!!

This issue first happened on 10/10/2018, again on 10/12/2018 and finally on 10/15/2018. The first two days it just started slowing to a stop and had the massage "Shift to P to Start" I put the car in Park then push start and it starts right up. This morning on my way to work the same thing happened but it had a hard time starting up again. It did start after 3 tries and made it back home (about 4 blocks) but the car completely died when I pulled into my driveway. All lights off, couldn't unlock the doors and it started making some clicking noises before complete darkness and silence.

I have owned the car a year, it is still in great shape and I love the car outside of this. I could have been on the interstate that I take to work and something terrible could have happened to myself or others on the road. I will be calling the dealer to see what I can do and will update the website. It sounds like most people get the run around from the dealer and Chrysler isn't doing anything either.

I purchased my car in December 2017, and not having the car a full 6 months (in April) I started experiencing a problem. While leaving my house the car started slowing down and saying "shift to park" while cutting off. This problem took place for a couple of days. I called Oaklawn Carmax for them to tell me that they were unable to take me and for me to go call Tinley Park Car Max. I called Tinley Park Carmax and got an appointment for the following day and explained to them the problem and took a picture of the car saying "shift to park". They said it was nothing they can do because the car was not experiencing the problem while there and if it was to start doing it again to bring it back. Well, 2 days later the car started to do the same thing, and so I called and talked to a Service Manager and explained to him the problem. He informed to take it to see if its the battery, starter, or alternator and if so fax him the receipt and he will reimburse me the money I spent. I took it to get checked out and it was none of those things. So they left it alone as it was nothing. As of June 7th, the car started doing the same thing all over again. Today June 11 the car cut off on me while leaving my house a total of 7 times saying "shift to park," slowing down, and cutting off each time and while trying to restart it, it goes cuugghhh, cugghhh. My daughter father looked it up and it showed a recall of this and with the carfax it showed nothing as being wrong.

I was driving from Austin, Texas to Dallas, Texas for the weekend, which is about a 3 hour trip. Halfway to Dallas my car starts loosing power. I panicked a little, but did my best to keep calm since I was doing 70 mph on interstate 35, where most cars usually do 80. I was barely able to get to the service road before my car came to a complete stop. (I was still panicking because a small part of my car was still blocking the lane).

Long story short. The car had the "transmission service" "check engine" and "parking brake" lights/notices come on. I also couldn't get the little shift circular knob to move, it got locked or something. I called 911 and had a sheriff assist me. She closed the lane that I was blocking to prevent an accident. I almost got rear ended by an 18-wheeler before the sheriff got there

I also want to point out that I purchased the car 15 days ago and today, when this incident occurred, was my 5th time driving it. (Was out of town for spring break)

voice recognition and radio failure (which corrected itself within 24 hours) preceeded several weeks before the problem of car jumping into park while still driving. Prior to that my dash would go dark. Stalling while driving came several weeks later. No codes could be picked up even though service observed. All these issues would resolve themselves without any help from service dept. and which could never be replicated at will. This is why I'm afraid to drive it or have anyone else drive it because you never know when these things will occur. JUst this past week, a year after I bought it , the voice recognition went out and information screen froze.
