CarComplaints.com Notes: The 2015 Chrysler 200 carries the torch of "never buy the 1st year of a new vehicle generation" with pride.
The 2015 model year is the first year of the Chrysler 200's 2nd generation. It has been plagued by problems from the start. Transmission failure at extremely low mileage, many recalls, problems stalling while driving... the list goes on. Maybe Chrysler should have stuck with the 1st generation.

while making a uturn my son heard a loud pop, lost control of steering and went into a residential curb, 4 in high. He thought he had a blow out and when he got out to check the tire was facing outward but no blow out and no hubcap damage. when we arrived we checked and seen the lower control arm was snapped with a clean break. there was no other damage to hubcap, wheel, tires, body. wheel well. after 4 hours of trying to locate an open tow company that had a wheel lift we found one to do the tow home, 18 miles away. unaware of Chrysler roadside or any thought this would be a recall or warranty issue we paid $300 cash for tow. 2 days later I called Chrysler corporation and was informed that due to the car only having 34,183 miles on it, it was covered under the original warranty. the car was bought used in august 2016. The rep informed me that she had heard quite a bit of complaints to that same nature, as well as roadside service. she took information, and assigned me to a rep named Chad. Chad took all information and details, and stated he would be on my case. Chrysler set me up with their roadside towing service to get vehicle to service center. I informed them the car can only be towed by a wheel lift truck and not a flat bed. it was informed to them the car could not be dragged. the fourth truck showed up while I was gone in a flat bed in spite of my specific request. I have messages confirming. I was told that driver had a skid that pulled car up like on ice. this was false because driver had no clue on what to do and did not want to tow car but instructed. upon pulling car up the tire buckled in 4 times. the tow driver went to side of truck and pulled out a wood piece to place car wheel on. this wood piece failed and tire slipped off more. this was witnessed by neighbors and my niece.upon arrival to dealer, I was contacted about significant damage he visibly seen bu since it was late this Friday,. it would not be looked at til Tuesday, since Monday was a holiday. then another week went by and another half a week before I heard back. I was told they had to get permission to look at vechicle by engineer. I was then notified that they were sending an investigator out to speak with us, and location site, to determine and could take another 2-3 weeks. 4 hours later I received a phone call they denied warranty based on significate damage indicating car hit curb first. digital photos were used to determine. knowing this was false and incorrect I had a tow truck pick up and tow to Main Auto Repair who in one day inspected car, indicating completely the opposite of Stockton chyselr. they stated it was a defective control arm, and steering rod because hitting a curb could not break the strength of the iron in these parts. there was no indication of an accident prior to this damage, and no damage to hubcap or wheel or damaged tires. hitting the curb was due to the break in the control arm and steering rod and not broke because of the curb. there was no damage underneath and nothing was bent like an accident would show, only a CLEAN BREAK. I tried contacting Chrysler Corp back and dealership and they told me, it didn't matter what someone else stated because they were not high trained and qualified Chrysler engineers who pay thousand of dollars in school. They said their word was final word and even taking to another Chrysler shop would be a waste of my time cuz they all go off the same notes. I have pictures of hubcaps wheels, tires etc that would not atth. ac
