The 2015 model year is the first year of the Chrysler 200's 2nd generation. It has been plagued by problems from the start. Transmission failure at extremely low mileage, many recalls, problems stalling while driving... the list goes on. Maybe Chrysler should have stuck with the 1st generation.

My car will not go into park. It will not engage. It is staying in gear. I called Chrysler Dodge Jeep in Lee Summit and they say that that has been repaired before there is a recall on it but there-??s refusing to repair it. Never had that happen or had it repaired since I-??ve owned the vehicle but unsafe and drivable Dangerous I was stuck in the middle of the street for over an hour was very very terrifying. Can you help me figure out what they won-??t fix this? Control Automatic Emergency Braking R08 I believe this is to the recall code I run the car for a while, and I have never taken it in for this I was unaware until it lost up on me my number

While driving vehicle lost power and began to show service transmission and park brake check signs. Vehicle lost power and was lucky we weren't rear ended on the road by the Cars behind or cause an accident. Looking at this is year there are several complaints with the same issue. Car only has 33k miles and is having transmission issues.

There were no warning lamps but my transmission shift very hard and is very jerky. Also my parking break keeps engaging on its own. Im afraid that im going to be driving and it will engage itsself. It hasnt happened while driving yet but it had many times while setting still and in gear

The contact owns a 2015 Chrysler 200. The contact stated while stopped at a traffic light, the accelerator pedal was depressed however, the vehicle failed to respond. Additionally, the contact stated that the parking brake activated independently with an unknown warning light illuminated. The vehicle was turned off, restarted, and driven to an independent mechanic to be diagnosed. The contact was informed that the parking brake wa in transition and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown.

As I was driving down the highway on September 12, 2020, I noticed that my steering wheel was hard to turn suddenly and my gas pedal and brake pedal were not working properly. The car would not move much and it wouldn't stop properly. Some lights lit up on my dash board. I brought my car into the shop a few days later. The mechanic hooked my car to a machine and nothing was really showing. He did something to reset my dashboard alerts and said that if it continued to bring it back. It did continue, so he ordered new coils for my car. I brought the car back in on September 29, 2020 for repair. The mechanic rechecked my car and he found metal flakes in the oil that he drained from my transmission. He said that is not normal for regular wear and tear.

On August 23rd, I was taking my sister in law back home from our house. On the way back from her house I decided to wash my 15 Chrysler 200. When I as done with that task and got back in the car. I noticed my brakes wouldn't disengage. I tried to do the maintenance release through the car's radio and it wouldn't let me do it. This is the first time I had any problem with the car. So I then tried to turn off and on the car and that didn't work. So then I thou maybe if I drove it, they would release and just as I hit 45mph, they did. And started to preform normally. An hour later, I stopped by my mother-in-law house to take car of her dogs like I've been doing for the last few days and when I was ready to leave. The car battery died. I'm not quite sure how cause I don't leave my lights on ever. And I sat there to wait for someone to tow it to the store with car battery and had them switched. They came to tell me that they couldn't get the car out of gear. So I went out there to see what was wrong and they were right. The car was running fine but I couldn't get it to change gears. On my dashboard. My small screen said to service the park brake and I thought, what that the brakes got to do with it's transmission. I looked and saw my mileage, 93,568, was blinking and my gear indicator as N. I'm pretty sure that the car was in park the hole time they where changing out the battery. The shifter nob was able to turn but I wasn't changing the gear either. So after that, I released the parking brake, that's somehow made the care show it was in drive, and had it towed back to my mother-in-law house.

Two days ago my car randomly turned the breaking break on going in reverse I thought I hit something but really my car turned on the parking break I didn't think anything of it but in the same day but different time it did it again also when I mean turned on the parking break I mean it was completely on and stopped my car from moving. Now today I was driving I stopped at a red light went to go pull off and my breaking break came on and I couldn't move my car until I turned it off same with when I went in reverse. I'm currently on vacation 33 hours away from home in California and I'm scared I won't be able to get my car back and myself and family home safely in this car come Saturday and honestly I'm afraid to drive it now because it does it randomly with zero warning.

The contact owns a 2015 Chrysler 200. The contact stated that the air bag warning light and check engine warning light were illuminated. Additionally, the brake pedal was firm, requiring extra effort to depress. The contact took the vehicle to boles automotive service center, llc (354 union cemetery rd sw, concord, nc 28027, (704) 792-1005) who replaced the brakes and completed an air bag related recall repair on the vehicle. The contact stated that the failures persisted. The contact returned the vehicle to the same dealer who stated that the diagnostic codes retrieved were not conclusive which indicated an electrical issue with the vehicle. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact had not contacted the manufacturer. The approximate failure mileage was 40,000.

When you put the db scanner on it it says that a wheel sensor is the only problem. When a new wheel sensors put on there the same problem recurrs.

While driving that various speeds, the vehicle jerks while the accelerator pedal is depressed but the vehicle fails to accelerate. Also I noticed the vehicle didn't come with rubber on the accelerator pedal it was completely metal and my foot was sliding while driving so I contacted the dealership and tried to get it replaced but they said that is was a cost saving issue and there was nothing they could do about it since none of the cars came with this so I purchased a stainless steel pedal cover kit but I'm still having issues while driving with the accelerator on this vehicle while on the freeway because it hard accelerator at high speeds without the grip of the rubber.

Car has serv AWD light on had one shot replace a motor on the outside of the transfer case but the problem came back when shifting from drive to sport next I brought it to Chrysler and they replaced the sensor near the motor that was previously replaced and it didn't fix anything they still don't know what's wrong with it. My car jerks forward mid breaking in the RPM surge also my transmission is slow to downshift in the first three gears I believe it is and loses compression when going up some hills power to this vehicle as in the torque or horsepower is very inconsistent sometimes it feels sluggish other times it just wants to go. Shops report brake surge is normal. Also had sporatic hard pedal, master cylinder is ok. Brake pedal clicks and feels unstable. The steering rack feels loose and dangerous like its going to fall through the floor. Brake pedal arms rusted cars only 5 years old with 60,000 miles on it with no prior flood damage.

For starters when entering my car it doesn't detect the key I've changed the battery in the fob and car as well I have to sit for sometimes 10 min it will start but message key fob not detected displays the entire time I'm driving. Then it also flashes seat belt, air bags and brakes I've enclosed some pictures as well. It's never don this I don't don't think it's issue with my air bags or brakes but seem electrical I'm not sure but please help me figure it out

Intermittent trouble breaking. Sometimes the pedal gets stiff, sometimes the pedal clicks when trying to brake, sometimes it feels like the pedal is going to fall through the floor or break off and also feels like the entire steering column (steering wheel and axle connecting the frontt tires is going to break! also feels like the brake pedal is sinking sometimes and that I can't stop and will crash!! I have an appointment to have the Chrysler dealership look at it because it has thrown some serv AWD code to me twice now when putting the car in drive but then goes out and no codes are able to be read but this happens concurrently with sudden braking issues it seems like! happens usually when slowing down quickly but can happen at anytime and has varied in conditions as to when the problem flared up.

As I am driving the parkway going about 60 mph my car with out any warning started with flashing red on the dashboard. The temperature gauge started going from hot to cold and the engine symbol flashed on dash board. I was in the left hand lane with a significant amount of traffic passing me. Within 2-3 minutes as I started to go down hill the dash flashed steering will be disabled, then autobrading with be disabled. The radio at this point shut off and it was difficult to steer the car. There was little acceleration when I tried to give it gas to keep with the pace of the other vehicles attempting to move to the side of the road. I put my hazardous flashers on but because I did not have a dash board screen I was sure they were working everything electrical seemed to be off. I finally made it to the side of the road and the car went about 3 feet and stopped. I was not able to put the car in park once I got to the side of the road. It was difficult for the tow company to pull the vehicle because the wheels were locked and they had to use special equipment.
