- Summary
- Oil Filter If a Mopar Oil Filter is not available, use a filter that meets or exceeds USCAR36 specification and is compatible with semi and full synthetic oils. Recommended Brands: Wix, Purolator, and NapaGold For concerns of V8 oil filter leaks on 22MY and up vehicles: 1. Clean the area and use oil dye to know the exact location of the leak with black/UV light. 2. Removal torque (force needed to loosen the filter) 3. If the source of the leak cannot be identified, please contact FCA Redacted Content to FasTrak parts back for analysis. If no response in 15 minutes, proceed with repair and email pictures of the following: A) Oil filter from the bottom to know if it has a "Factory Installed" filter. B) Leak. C) Damage in filter (if any) D) Gasket. E) Block or Oil Filter Adapter(OFA) or Engine Oil Cooler(EOC) sealing surface.
