I will be driving on the freeway, highway in the snow on ice in the summer Wherever, suddenly my engine shuts down. I lose my power steering, my brakes and my safety. I have had my vehicle checked out and nobody can find anything because there are no codes that are being thrown. No dashboard lights going on nothing to indicate there's an issue. The safety of me my mother who rides with me often my grandchildren are at risk. Most recently it happened during a ice rain we had and I can't push on my brakes and my power steering is gone and my car spins in the middle of the road because I have no control over it. The only thing that I have been able to maybe come up with is something in the engine that was discovered maybe in 2015 something about a PCM I believe. So they did recall 2015 and newer vehicles and left all of us with the 2011 to 2014 vehicles to Ben for ourselves. I am making payments on this vehicle and I want to send it to the junkyard. I can't keep pouring money into it trying to figure out why it just stalls. If this isn't present and safety issue to Chrysler then nothing does. I find it hard to believe a company that makes millions of dollars maybe billions a year cannot find it within themselves to recall the engines in these Chrysler 200 vehicles that are having these issues. With that I'm hoping that it won't one day die on me in the middle of traffic and I get hit possibly killed because it just dies and I have no control over it. As soon as I can pay it off I am dumping this car I will not put it on anyone else it isn't fair to them and frankly it wasn't fair to me buying this used from a dealer and having this issue. Oh by the way sometimes it will start right back up if I put it into neutral while I'm driving and hit the key others it will not sometimes it takes 2 hours for it to start again sometimes 10 minutes. I don't know why it does it frankly I don't care I would just like it fixed. I'm single I don't make a lot of money and it's frustratin
Driver's active headrest deployed while driving. There was no accident or collision of any kind. Just driving and it popped me in the back of the head. It hurt and caused me to swerve, almost caused an accident. There are no lamps or warning lights. I can see a broken plastic clip inside the active headrest.
car has always ran great no problems. i go to leave house and as soon as i drive maybe 100 ft all the dash lights came on started flashing and chimming. engine also reved up which was crazy i was terrified of rear ending someone. i hit brake but it kept doing it. ive had two different shops run a scan and they say too many codes to know. And tell me to take to dealership. i bought car brand new back in 2012. i just need to know what to do now?? the speedometer went to zero and cold hot hand went to c its like the computer wasnt sending messages to the proper places.
My head rest restraint deployed overnight whole the car was sitting in my driveway. I see multiple complaints of this and reached out to a dealership/Chrysler corporate and they said I have to pay for it out of pocket. They said the warranty for it was extended but I never received a notification of it being an issue or a warranty. The car was purchased in 2017 and had 2 recall, I took it to a dealership within a month and they said the recall was fixed. However less then 5 years later my head rest restraint deployed on it's own, there was no collision to my car while it sat in my driveway
While driving along a 40mph street, the convertible top started to pop open, causing me to have to grab it and pull it down, almost causing me to hit the curb, and having to hold it down until I got home. The instrument panel reading said "CONVERTIBLE TOP MALFUNCTION" and "TOP NOT SECURED". After calling a repair facility, I was advised how to get the top to re-latch closed, but now the top will no longer work, and i'm still not sure that although closed, that the top still isn't locked shut.

Numerous problems with vehicle refusing to start when ignition switch turned on. The dealership could not find a problem. The vehicle then ran for a period of time without additional issues. In April of 2022 the problem resurfaced. After trying for two days to start the vehicle, it started and I took it to a Chrysler dealership. The mechanic indicated the car needed a new starter. The starter was replaced on 4/20/2022. On 5/10/2022 the dealership inspected the vehicle and did an oil and filter change. No problems were found. On 5/13/2022 I was driving and the vehicle suddenly stopped in traffic and would not restart. Thankfully, a crash was avoided when the vehicle suddenly stopped in heavy traffic. The automatic windows and door locks still worked even though ignition would not engage. The vehicle had to be pushed out of traffic and was towed to a dealership. The mechanic listed the following: ASD Main sense circuit; Generator Field Control /circuit; Engine oil pressure sensor circuit low; Starter Control 2 Circuit Open-pulled vehicle in found starter was not engaging-tested both power feed lines. The repair quote was in the thousands of dollars. I have gotten rid of the car and I am purchasing another make of vehicle.
I keep getting airbag icon airbag error message. I was instructed by insurance to run vin to see if there has been a recall upon running vin I was notified there was 3 recalls listed for vin.
My wife was driving our 2012 Chrysler 200S with the 3.6L pentistar engine and the engine shut off while she was driving on 03/09/2021 and I came and got her and we tried to restart the car and all it did was crank until the car timed out and no start and the next moring the car started up just fine with no lights on in the dash and this is the 5th time the car has done this and I have researched the problem and its one of two things a PCM udate or a connector to the tipm or fuse box and I want to know why ther is no recall for this and why Chrysler only recalled the 2015 model 200
The car consistently stalls out at least 4-6 times a trip in the middle of driving, if not more. It also honks on its own during that time. It was brought to the dealership and a shop and they couldn't find anything wrong
Head rest on the front passenger side deployed on its own. Looks like the peace of plastic that held the head rest together broke. This was plastic on metal rod. At the time when this happen no one was sitting on the sit. We would of had a very bad head injury if someone would have been there.
When I turn on the heat, the passenger side vents blow cold air. This is a problem to drive using my air/heat because it's draining my coolant. This causes my temperature gage to rise. This happens regardless of my car being stable or in motion. This, at times, also causes my windshield to become foggy.
A recall was issued by the manufacturer for the emissions system and we brought the car in for repair. We we're told that the parts were on back order and we would have to have it done later. Now, seven months later. Upon contacting the dealership, they have the vehicle listed as complete without any repairs.
Heater hose line clogs up with sludge, this is then causing no heat on passenger side, no defrost, and little heat on drivers side. This issue makes driving a hazard as the car will completely fog up make visablilty poor. This issue take about 30 min of running the car before drive to barley take the chill off the car.
The window controls on the drivers door stopped working. None of the windows will roll down. The car was not in motion or in any accident, they just stopped working
Drivers side head rest deployed while vehicle was parked, it is very fortunate that this happened while no one was sitting in the chair at that time. My question is, will this also happen with the drivers side head rest?
